In early January, the BJCC will rumble and roar as 12,000-pound machines kick dirt and fly through the air. Monster Jam is coming to the Magic City, and it promises a weekend full of high-octane thrills!

This event will take place at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center’s Legacy Arena on January 4 and 5. The Triple Threat begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, with a second show following at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the show starts at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $15, and you can reserve yours through Ticketmaster. The BJCC is located at 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard North, Birmingham, Alabama 35203.
The Monster Jam Triple Threat
While Monster Jam is known for its massive monster trucks, the Triple Threat Series will feature new competitions with ATVs and high-powered speedsters. While these agile machines could easily be hidden in the shadow of the elevated monster trucks, they pack plenty of power to steal the spotlight. The off-road ATVs and speedsters will participate in their own challenges to demonstrate their drivers’ skills and reflexes, and all three classes will race through an obstacle course in a timed competition. There will also be challenges for cutting donuts, head-to-head races, and the two-wheel challenge where every stunt must include two wheels in the air.
A Birmingham Monster Jam First
There will also be freestyle competition, in which each driver performs their favorite tricks and stunts to impress the judges and the crowd. During the freestyle segment, one of the drivers will attempt the first-ever Monster Jam truck backflip within an indoor Birmingham arena. For their show in the Magic City, the Monster Jam roster features Grave Digger, Megalodon, Monster Mutt, El Toro Loco, Max-D, Soldier Fortune, Alien Invasion, and Zombie.
The Pit Party
Before the competition begins each day, the monster truck drivers will hang out with fans at the Pit Parties. With a Pit Party ticket, you can meet the daring athletes, snap a photo with them, and even take home their autograph. The Saturday Pit Party will start at 10:30 a.m., and the Sunday meetup will start at 11:30 a.m.
