Get Ready for Tour de Brewers: St. Patrick’s Day 2018

Tour de Brewers

Most races are formal events where everyone fights to win. Tour de Brewers XII is the opposite. This informal run/ride isn’t about winning. It’s about drinking beer, discovering new parts of Birmingham, and having fun. There’s so much beer and fun involved that it makes sense it’s on St. Paddy’s Day. Sign up by March 16 so you can take part in the race when it departs Tin Roof Birmingham at 11 a.m. on March 17. Registration is only $40, and the proceeds support The Dannon Project. Oh, and that $40 will get you some beer to enjoy during the race.

You read that right. You get to drink during this race.

Your mind is probably racing a bit now. Let’s look at how this works.

About the Race

When you register for this race, you won’t just commit to running or cycling. You’ll also get five bracelets. During the race, you’ll stop along some craft breweries, and you’ll be able to exchange a bracelet for a craft brew. That means you get five brews during the race.

Here’s the really cool part, though. This isn’t technically a race, and lots of people hang out at the breweries for more than a beer. You can order an additional brew or get some food to go along with it. Then, when you feel like hitting the course again, exit the brewery and head to the next one.

Hanging out in the breweries is the best part, and some people even say that finishing first is actually finishing last. That’s because you won’t get to experience the fun of the breweries if you rush through the course. Take your time and have fun with it.

It’ll be even more fun if you wear a costume. You’ll see everything from leprechauns to green tuxes at the race, so get creative.

The Afterparty

When you arrive at the finish line, the real fun will begin. That’s when the afterparty will take place at Tin Roof Birmingham. There’ll be drinks, live music, and prize giveaways. Even if you don’t win a prize, you are sure to have some fun.

You’ll also have fun in a new ride from Brannon Honda in Birmingham, Alabama. You might not be able to drive your new Honda on St. Patrick’s Day after all that craft beer, but it’ll be there for you when you’re ready for it. Your Honda can always take you on an adventure, whether it’s a holiday or just an ordinary day. That’s the great thing about Hondas. They’re always ready to go.
