Honda is always expanding its relationship with Alabama and Brannon Honda is proud to be a part of that. Our friends over at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, located in Lincoln, recently teamed up with Hands On Birmingham for a special service project. As this year’s observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day fell on January 20, associates at Honda’s Alabama production facility teamed up with Hands on Birmingham to work on a long-neglected park area in the community of Roebuck Springs. Hands on Birmingham is an organization specifically committed to connecting volunteers interested in meaningful community service projects.
Together with Hands on Birmingham, Honda volunteers commenced a community service event in which a local space was cultivated for a community garden. According to the clip posted above, readying the area meant clearing debris that had occupied the space for close to 30 years.
