2014-honda-accord-sedan-fog-lightsWhen you think about a Honda Accord, awards aren’t the first thing that comes to mind. Sure the car is beautiful, graceful and powerful, but it’s made such an impact on the industry that there’s a whole lot of sites just clamoring to offer the Accord their accolades. Here are a few noteworthy awards that the Accord has won in its time:

Edmunds.com Best Retained Value Award

Edmunds.com recently named the Accord the car that best retains its value over the years. The Accord placed ahead of a wide field of competitors in the non-luxury category. It’s plain to see why Edmunds.com would give the Accord this award, since it retains value well as time goes by.

KBB.com Best Midsize Car

KBB.com took a long hard look at all the mid-sized cars available for the 2014 market and came to the conclusion that the Accord was the top of the heap. This is a testimonial to the kind of brilliance that Honda is known for. It isn’t terribly surprising to see the Accord place as the best mid-sized car of 2014.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration 5-Star Safety Rating

This is an award that goes to vehicles that have a demonstrated track record of safety. With the new additions to the 2015 Accord’s safety system it was a shoe-in to receive a 5-star rating from the NHTSA.

Honda’s awards demonstrate two things. Firstly that the Accord is a leader in the industry filled with worthy competitors and secondly that the 2015 Honda Accord is not a car to be written off. Combining brilliance in safety and performance is no easy task. As auto manufacturers can tell you, it is nigh impossible to do both. However, Honda has easily managed this and the result is the 2015 Honda Accord. If you’re situated around the Birmingham, Al area you can check out Brannon Honda for some info on the new Honda Accord
