Come Out for Breakin’ Bread 2016 in Birmingham

Breakin’ Bread Birmingham Get ready for all the delicious flavors you can imagine at Breakin’ Bread this September. The event is right here in Birmingham, and the Birmingham Originals presents it. The festival has been going on since 2003. It is among the signature experiences of “The Year of Alabama Food” and attracts visitors from around the state and region.

Where and When

This Local Flavor Festival will be taking place on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the historic Sloss Furnaces. Children under 12 years old can get in for free. Admission is $30 for unlimited food samples and two tickets for drinks. VIP admission will give you access to unlimited drinks and food plus gift bags and an exclusive lounge area; it costs $89. General admission increases to $35 and VIP admission goes up to $99 if you don’t take advantage of the early bird specials before Sept. 2. Remember that part of the ticket sales goes to local charities.

Breakin’ Bread 2016: What to Expect

While at the Breakin’ Bread festival, you will get access to as many of the food samples as you want. There are plenty of craft wines and beers along with nonalcoholic beverages to enjoy. You can participate in or watch the live cooking competition or take your children to the kids’ zone to participate in fun activities. You will also get to attend tasting seminars and listen to live music.
