Take your family to one of the many Birmingham parks in your Honda for a day of fun and maybe a nice picnic. If you have a smaller family, the Honda CR-V or Civic will be a perfect option. Larger families will love visiting these parks in the three-row Pilot or Odyssey, which are also great if your children plan on bringing friends along. You just have to decide which of the many Birmingham parks to visit.
Kelley Ingram Park
The Kelly Ingram Park is in the Civil Rights District of Birmingham by the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. This park has a rich history, but you don’t have to give your children a lecture. Instead, you can simply plan a picnic, walk along the trails, or play on the lawn. You can also take a guided tour if you want to learn more about the park’s history.
North Birmingham Park
The North Birmingham Park has 13.4 acres of land and plenty of outdoor activities. You can bring your tennis balls and rackets to take advantage of the tennis courts or have a picnic under the pavilion. There are also walking paths and playgrounds to enjoy.
Railroad Park
Covering 19 acres of land, Railroad Park is right in downtown Birmingham. It is run by the Railroad Park Foundation and the City of Birmingham and is full of history and fun. You can run or have a picnic on the 9 acres’ worth of open lawn. Take a stroll to look at the over 600 trees on the property. Sit by one of the many water features, or take advantage of the free wireless internet in the park. There is outdoor gym equipment for teens and adults, a skate park, multiple play areas for kids of all ages, and even some onsite cafes if you forget to bring a picnic in your Honda. Cleanup is a breeze after a day of fun thanks to the HondaVac in the Odyssey and other great Honda features.
Visit Brannon Honda to get the perfect Honda to take you and your family to these and other Birmingham, Alabama, parks.
