If you’re looking for motivation to go on a run then you are in the right city! If you don’t know by now, Birmingham has a lot of 5k events that happen all year long. Even throughout the winter months you can find 5k events that will get you out in the cold and make you get your workout in. Even if you’re not much of a runner, these events welcome people of all ages to come out and do their best. Don’t miss out on your chance to run a 5k!

Magic City Half Marathon & 5k

Magic City Half Marathon & 5K is full of great music, craft beer, entertainment, and of course a lot of running. It is open to all ages and benefits the Ruben Studdard Foundation for the Advancement of Children in the Music Arts. This event takes place on November 20th at 8am, and the entry fee is $90, or $100 at walk up registration for the half marathon. The 5k is $40, or $45 when you walk up, and the mile run is only $15.

MLK Day Drum Run

The MLK Day Drum Run is meant to celebrate the diverse groups all over Birmingham during Martin Luther King Day. The race features drumlines, live music, professional timing for runners, sponsor booths, past party, and race goodie bags. The event is on January 14, 2017 from 7am- 11am. It is only $25, so sign up today!

Frostbite 5k and FunRun

The Frostbite 5K and FunRun is happening on Saturday, January 28th in Hoover, and is only $30. It is the fourth year in a row that it has taken place, and includes male and female age group winners. Don’t miss out on the food, music, and fellowship.
