What is a G-League Team?

So, you’ve heard of the Birmingham Barons, our local minor league baseball team. Well, the Birmingham Squadron is very similar. They’re also a professional sports team participating in a minor league to further develop their skills. The difference is in the sport they play and who their affiliate team is. The Birmingham Squadron is affiliated with the NBA team The New Orleans Pelicans and players can be called up to play for the Pelicans whenever the need arises.  So, you might see some Birmingham Squadron players on an official NBA court one day.

Who is On the Team?
