All events start at 9am, and prices vary depending on the activity. All proceeds will go straight back into the park to help keep it clean and safe for everyone to enjoy.
Four Activities You Don’t Want to Miss!
Vulcan Materials Zip Trip
Your aerial adventure takes place overlooking the land where Birmingham began. The Vulcan Materials Zip Trip offers a thrilling ride with breathtaking views. You’ll soar over Red Mountain’s natural landscape, historical mining sites, and the surrounding valleys.
For approximately one hour, you will be transported 40 feet above Red Mountain, traveling from one tree house to the next by a series of seven exciting zip lines and sky bridge and cable swing. The Vulcan Materials Zip Trip also includes a rope swing and rappel.
Hugh Kaul Beanstalk Forest
The Hugh Kaul Beanstalk Forest is a 1-hour treetop challenge course with 20 unique rope and cable obstacles. The aerial elements include swaying bridges, tight ropes, a zip line and much more.
Adventure Seekers explore the self-guided course, choosing their challenge—everything from climbing walls to swinging on ropes to balancing on bridges. Obstacles range from easy, moderate to extremely challenging for adventures at all levels.
Kaul Adventure Tower
With its eight lanes of rappelling, traditional rock climbing with hand-holds and vine climbs, the 80-foot-tall Kaul Adventure Tower is unlike anything else in the world. Designed especially for Red Mountain Park, this 1-hour adventure is truly one of a kind.
The Mega Zip
The Mega Zip at the Kaul Adventure Tower is a 1,000-foot zip thrill ride. Participants start from 80 feet in the air and reach speeds up to 30 mph. This Adventure can be done on your own, or you can race side-by-side with another Adventure Seeker. The adventure includes two rides down the Mega Zip.

The park is located at 2011 Frankfurt Drive Birmingham, AL 35211 just off of I-65. Take the Lakeshore Parkway Exit (Exit 255) heading west for about three miles. Then, turn right on Frankfurt Drive. The park entrance is at the end of the street in a cul-de-sac. Parking is directly across the street. You have to turn right onto Lyon Lane to find the parking lot.
