Pimped Out Odyssey’s Like You’ve Never Seen

When you think of a minivan you probably think about car seats, cheerios, groceries, and Disney movies playing in the third row. Think again! These two pimped out Honda minivans will have you reconsidering the coolness of the minivan.

The Odyssey Transformed

Pimped Manly Odyssey

Takero’s Honda Odyssey in Japan is by far one of the coolest minivans in the world. This Japanese Grandpa races JDM-spec family haulers, like the Honda Odyssey for a living. His Japanese Odyssey doesn’t have sliding back doors, but rather doors that open like the front ones. It also is lowered to make it almost appear more wagon than minivan.

Takero’s Odyssey comes with a custom HKS turbo system that helps it generate around 440 horsepower, Prodrive forged 20-inch wheels, a Takero’s big brake kit, a titanium exhaust system, and low-slung coilover race suspension. Every body panel of the vehicle has been replaced with lightweight carbon aero that was handmade by Mr. Takero himself.

Odyssey Racing to the Extreme

pimped Racing Odyssey

The next contender for coolest minivan ever is the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Honda Odyssey. The Honda Performance Development team and Honda R&D Americas, Inc. essentially took a turbocharged, 500-horsepower Odyssey and re-calibrated it to the point where it could fly up the infamous Colorado mountain pass with ease. This van is insane! This cool 3.5-liter V6 minivan is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. This Odyssey is a full-blown caged racecar with a gutted interior, a six-speed manual gearbox, race spec suspension and brakes, and forged 19-inch BBS wheels. This minivan is the definition of cool as it climbs up rugged hills like a mountain goat. It is incredible to watch.

If you are looking for a minivan with power and style, then come check out our selection of Honda Odysseys here at Brannon Honda in Birmingham. Our Odysseys aren’t like typical minivans as you have seen here. We would love to put you in one today!
