Using the audio player in your new Honda Pilot is very simple, despite the fancy-looking user interface. Here is a quick rundown of how it works!
Start by touching the home screen button, and then touch the audio icon for the list of audio sources (if there is not a home screen icon then you are already on it!) If you click the wrong button, just hit the “source” button to return to the audio sources screen. Click on the FM button to make the FM screen appear. Just like in a car with a regular radio display, the station number is listed at the top of the screen and the tune and seek buttons are on the bottom. The volume button is located on the left hand side. To adjust the volume, touch the volume button and slide your finger up to make the radio louder or slide your finger down to make it quieter. Easy! If you need to mute the volume, touch the volume button and then touch the mute button at the bottom.
To see your preset radio stations, touch the area above the open and close tab. By touching this area again, the list of presets goes away and the general FM screen comes back. FM and XM can store 12 preset stations each, while AM can hold up to 6. To save a preset, touch the menu button, and then touch the button that says “save preset.” Once again, easy!
Playing a CD in Your Honda Pilot
To play a CD, go to the home screen and simply put the CD in. Track one will instantly start playing. To change tracks, use the arrows on the steering wheel. This way you can change tracks without ever taking your eyes off the road! As in the older models, to eject the CD, push the physical eject button to the right of the CD slot.
Playing Digital Music in Your Honda Pilot
You can also play mp3s, double UMAs or AACs from a USB drive! Simply insert the USB drive into the USB port below the radio and touch USB on the audio source screen. An iPod works the same way.
Pandora can be used through Bluetooth by picking Pandora from the audio source screen. Your Pandora stations will all appear on the screen. The skip, like, and dislike buttons are located on the bottom of the screen.
