Brannon Honda helped contribute to American Honda posting record sales in the month of August. Sales topped one million vehicles and were up 26.7 percent. This was a best-ever month for CR-V sales with a 45.1 percent sales increase. This was an all-time sales record for the CR-V model. Accord and Civic both topped 38,000 units with the Civic posting a personal best since August 2009. The Pilot and Ridgeline were both in a double-digit sales gain for the sixth month in a row.
“With three of our core models topping 30,000 units and the Honda brand up more than 29 percent, our August sales definitely didn’t take a break for the holiday weekend,” said John Mendel, executive vice president of sales at American Honda. “We’re keeping our foot on the gas as we transition into the 2014 model year including the introduction an all-new Accord Hybrid in October.”
