With smartphone prices continuously rising, it’s very important that owners take care of their devices. As a matter of fact, a single drop on the floor can already shatter the touchscreen and deem it useless; what more can a high intensity drop do. Unfortunately, a case doesn’t really do much; especially to the glass surface of the smartphone.
So how can you protect your smartphone from such intense damage? With an airbag perhaps!
Well, Honda certainly seems to think so. Capturing every second in a video, Honda explored the idea of Case N, an airbag-equipped case for the smartphone. Carefully analyzing the effect of a dropped smartphone and how to incorporate an airbag onto a case, this is something that the car manufacturer has taken as a light joke; or perhaps to stress the functionality of their airbag.
Don’t rush to your phone retailers just yet, though. Case N is simply a concept, a good one at that. Or is it?
