This urban street market takes place in the heart of Woodlawn where all of its history lies. If you are looking for unique and special creations, then this event is for you. There will be merchants selling produce, goods, and preparing food, and don’t forget about the home-grown restaurants and retailers. Come out to this event to try one of the amazing meals, or shop around and look at some of the unique creations. Jingle Bell Run 5k for Arthritis Foundation
Come out Saturday, December 10th from 8am- 12pm and participate in a 5k for a good cause. Hosted at Railroad Park, this event encourages participators to wear a holiday-themed costume. Anything from ugly Christmas sweaters to dressing up as Santa is acceptable. Bring friends and family and complete this 5k. If you wish to be timed the price is $40. 2016 Holiday Spectacular
All December long the Red Mountain Theatre Company is putting on an event that allows you to celebrate the holidays with a spectacular display of all your favorite Christmas music. Advent Messiah Series
During the four Sundays of Advent the Independent Presbyterian Church Choir will present different portions of Handel’s Messiah during the morning services at 8:45am and 11:00am. Click here for dates and more details.

Today, our society is unaware of the effects war has had on service members due to lack of media coverage as more attention is given to things such as reality television.
