The Virginia Samford Theatre’s mission is to further the cultural opportunities for the Greater Birmingham community through arts education and performances of high artistic merit in Theatre, Music, and Dance. The historic multi-purpose arts facility actively encourages participation in a diverse range of arts performances and educational services, providing a fertile foundation for community growth in Birmingham with access for all citizens.

Alabama Wildlife Center’s Owl-O-Ween

Owl-O-Ween features children’s activities, games, storytime, owl prowl, live bird of prey shows, and complimentary candy. Meet Alabama’s native owls up close, see the world’s largest owl species, and watch a rehabilitated wild bird release! Free after paid admission to Oak Mountain State Park. Rocky Horror Masquerade Ball

It’s a night full of the weird and wonderful as newly engaged couple Brad and Janet encounter a problem when they car halts in the rain. They both look for contact only to find themselves at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite. A place to stay is offered, but will Brad and Janet want to remain there? Especially when a large group of Transylvanians dance to the ‘Time Warp’, Dr. Frank-N-Furter builds his own man and a whole host of participation for the audience to enjoy. Tickets are on sale now and are $22.50 (+ fees) in advance through Ticketmaster and $25 (+fees) the day of the event.

General Day and Time Info
Doors open at 6:00pm with DJ Stevo spinning the Ghoulish Groove and registration for the costume contest. Costume contest begins at 8:30, and the feature will begin immediately after.
